title: Set up with Ysra
description: "Let Ysra set up a new workspace for you: a short talk about your company, a setup you review, and what each part waits for. Free."
---

**Set up with Ysra** is a short talk about your company that ends with a
ready workspace: Experts, a public Expert, Workers, build ideas and the
documents to add. It opens by itself once, the first time a new account
signs in, and any time from **Settings → General → Set up with Ysra**. This page
explains each stage, what Start creates, and what a part is waiting for when
it isn't ready.

<!-- media: setup-overview | Set up with Ysra, from the first question to the finished checklist | New account → Let's start → answer 4 questions (one with a website) → remove one Worker → Start → wait for the checklist to finish -->

## The rule

Nothing is created until you press **Start**. The talk and the setup are only
a proposal: you can remove any part, rename an Expert, or skip the whole
thing. Start then creates each kept part on its own, so one part failing never
stops the others.

## Stages

| Stage | What happens | What moves it on |
|---|---|---|
| **Talking** | Ysra asks one question at a time, in your language, and fills **What Ysra understood** beside the talk. | You answer, or pick a suggested answer. |
| **Preparing** | Ysra writes the setup from the talk and your website. | Takes a few seconds; the screen moves on by itself. |
| **Your setup** | The proposed parts, in sections. Nothing exists yet. | **Start**, or **Skip**. |
| **Setting up** | Each kept part is created, one at a time. | Each part ends **ready**, **waiting** or **failed**. |
| **Done** | Every part has an end state. Parts that wait stay listed until you finish them. | — |

## What happens when …

### You give a website, or several { #you-give-a-website }

Ysra reads each site's public pages — up to 3 sites, for example your
website and your docs — then says in one or two sentences what it understood
and asks if that's right. For each site it reads the home page and up to five
more: the pages its sitemap lists that say what the company does (about,
product, prices, FAQ, contact), one per section. Only public pages are read;
private network addresses are refused. The text is treated as information,
never as instructions.

A site built with scripts, which reads as almost empty, is opened in a real
browser instead, on the same site only; it is read-only and costs you
nothing. At **Start**, the site’s logo and up to 4 photos are saved to the
workspace’s files once, for the Experts.

Beside the talk, Ysra names every site it read, such as “Read ysra.ai · 6
pages, docs.ysra.ai · 6 pages”. The setup only names the websites it read or
that you typed: it never makes up an address.

### You name your business but give no website { #you-give-no-website }

Ysra searches the web for it, up to 2 searches a talk, and when one result is
clearly your own site, asks whether it is yours (“Yes, riadnejma.com”). It
reads a site only after you confirm. Listings such as maps, directories and
social pages are other people’s pages: Ysra may ask whether what they say
(an address, opening hours) is right, never takes it as fact.

### Ysra can't open your website

Ysra says so ("I couldn't open …") and asks what the company does in one
line instead. The talk carries on; the setup just has less to go on.

### You write in Darija, French, Arabic or Spanish

The talk follows the language you write in, and so do the setup's texts:
the Experts' jobs, the document names, the ideas. The labels on each card
(such as "Needs Gmail") are in your language too.

### You remove or change a part { #you-remove-or-rename-a-part }

**✕** removes a part (and **Undo** brings it back). Click any part's name or
text (or **Edit**) to change it — a Worker's job, the address it checks, a
document's name — and click away to keep the change; Escape puts it back.
Changes are kept only on this screen until **Start**.

<!-- media: setup-plan | Removing a part and renaming an Expert before Start | On "Your setup": ✕ on one Worker, Undo, rename the first Expert, press Start -->

### You press Start

Each kept part is created in this order: Experts, the public Expert,
document slots, build ideas, Workers. You can close the window: setup
carries on and picks up where it stopped.

## What Start creates

| Part | What you get | When it is ready |
|---|---|---|
| **Expert** | An Expert tailored to your company, from a proven template, in this workspace. | Right away. It answers better once its documents are added. |
| **Public Expert** | The Expert's public link, and a chat bubble allowed on every website you gave. | Right away. **Copy website code** gives the line for your site; **Add files for …** gives it documents directly, and says how many are shared and how many are still being read. |
| **Document to add** | A slot naming the document an Expert needs. | When you upload files for it, one or several at once (“3 files added: …”, then **Add more**). Files that feed the public Expert are shared with it as each one is read. |
| **Build idea** | An idea saved under Code's message box. Nothing is built. | Right away. **Start building** opens Code with the idea written in. |
| **Worker** | A Worker with its schedule, **switched off**. A company whose code is on GitHub may get a [Dependency watch](../workers/index.md#dependency-watch). | You check what it may do and switch it on. A Worker that needs a plugin waits for it first. |
| **Logo and photos** | Your site’s logo and up to 4 photos, in the workspace’s files. | Right away, when a site was read. |

## When a part isn't ready

| What the checklist says | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| **Waiting for your file** | The slot has no document yet. | **Upload**. The Expert works without it, with less to go on. |
| **Waiting for Gmail** (or another plugin) | The Worker needs a connection you haven't made. | **Connect**. The Worker becomes ready to switch on. |
| **Ready to switch on** | Workers always start off. | **Review and switch on**. |
| A part **failed** | Something went wrong creating that part only. | **Try again**. The other parts are not affected. |

## Limits

| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Questions in the talk | 7 at most; the setup is written with what is known by then |
| Websites read | Up to 3, about 6 pages each |
| Web searches to find your site | 2 a talk |
| Logo and photos saved | 1 logo and up to 4 photos |
| Experts proposed | 1 to 3, at most one facing customers |
| Workers proposed | 0 to 3 |
| Build ideas | 0 to 3 |
| Documents to add | 2 to 5 |
| Setups started per person | 3 a day |
| Cost to you | Free: the talk and the setup use no credits |

!!! note "Workers run in your time zone"
The app sends your time zone when the talk starts, so "every weekday at
8:00" is 8:00 where you are.
