Ask Ysra for a Word document, a PowerPoint deck or a PDF built from your sources, preview it in the side panel, switch formats and download it.

On this page

Ask can hand you a finished file instead of a chat answer: a Word document, a PowerPoint deck or a PDF, with headings, tables, charts, footnotes and a list of sources. This page is for anyone who needs something to send, print or present.

Ask for a file#

Say what the file is for, who will read it, and which format you want:

Write a two-page brief for the board on Q3 churn from churn-q3.xlsx and the
support notes in the Library. Word, with a chart of churn by month.
Turn this report into a 10-slide deck for Monday's team meeting.
Make a one-page PDF price list from prices.csv, in French.

Ysra writes the content from the sources the conversation can read, lays it out, and checks the finished file before it gives it to you.

What a file can contain#

Part Word and PDF PowerPoint
Title page and table of contents Yes Title slide
Headings, paragraphs and lists Yes Yes

Charts (bar, column, line, pie) Yes, as real charts Yes, as real charts
Pictures from the conversation Yes Yes

Footnotes and a sources list Yes Sources slide
Speaker notes and slide numbers — Yes

Right-to-left languages such as Arabic are laid out right to left, and a paragraph in another language keeps its own direction.

Preview and download#

The file appears on a card in the answer and in the side panel. For a Word file or a deck, the side panel shows its first pages or slides as pictures, so you can check it before you open it. Choose Download to save it to your computer.

Switch formats#

To get the same content in another format, ask for it. Ysra reuses what it already wrote:

Now as slides.
Same thing in Word, please.

Change a file#

Ask for the change in the conversation, and Ysra makes a new version:

Shorten section 2 to half a page and add a table of the three options.

Editing your own files

Ysra makes new files. It doesn't edit a Word or PowerPoint file you uploaded in place: it reads it, and writes a new one.

Reading Word and PowerPoint files#

When you upload a Word file, Ysra also reads its comments and tracked changes (shown as proposed), and the pictures inside it. See Files you can upload.

What it costs#

A file uses credits for writing it and for checking the finished file, as part of the answer that makes it. Switching formats reuses the content, so it costs less than writing again. See Credits and usage.
